Swami Vivekananda Meritcum-means Scholarship (SVMCM) portal for fresh and renewal applications has been opened for all courses (2022-2023). Willing and eligible students are informed to visit the following website and do accordingly as soon as possible. visit: https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/

There are various scholarship schemes for Undergraduate and Post Graduate students, offered by the State Government and Central Government as well as private enterprises. These are:

Kanyashree Prakalpa: This scholarship is for unmarried girl students only. There is no income bar or merit criteria. An unmarried girl student can avail of this scholarship regardless of whatever scholarship she is already getting. K1 scheme is for girls below 18 years and once the girl turns 18, she is eligible for K2 scholarship scheme.

Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM): This scholarship is for all students and this is subject to merit or percentage obtained in last qualifying examination as well as family income of the applicant.

Aikyashree Prakalpa: This scholarship is for meritorious minority students (Muslim / Christian / Sikh / Buddhist / Parsee & Jain) only having annual family income below certain slab. Any student who wishes to continue study after Madhyamik examination can avail this scholarship upto Post-Graduation level.

Post Matric SC/ST/OBC Scholarship: This scholarship is for SC/ST/OBC students. A variety of stipends are given at the pre-matric and post-matric level.

Guidelines for Application:

  • Those students who wish to apply for Post Matric (SC/ ST/ OBC) scholarship, they can visit the OASIS website and apply online.
  • The first year students have to do new registration in the OASIS website. After registration, they will receive a user ID and password. After this, they have log-in by using this user id and password and then they can apply for the scholarship.
  • The first year students must keep this user id and password carefully because they will have to use this same user id and password to renew the scholarship in the second and third year.
  • The second and third year students can renew their scholarship by using their existing  user id and password.
  • The students will be informed later on about the date and time of submission of relevant documents at the college. For now, they can apply or renew the scholarship online and keep the print out of the application form with them.

  • The students must submit their documents at college to the teacher who is designated to collect the documents of their respective department(s).

National Scholarship: Various scholarships as part of central scheme and UGC/AICTE scheme are available for students coming from various socio-economic backgrounds.

Nabanna Scholarship: Educational assistance is provided from Chief Minister’s relief fund, which is popularly known as Nabanna Scholarship. Meritorious students having annual family income below a certain limit can apply for this scholarship.
